Protective shoes according to EN 345 are for general protection in your work environment. They have toe caps from steel, Aluminium or synthethic materials. Additional there are the following safety classes:

Safety class S1:

• closed heel
• antistatic
• energy absorbtion in the heel area
• no protection against wet conditions 
• toe cap 

Safety class S1P:

• like S1, but with puncture resistant midsole

Safety class S2:

• closed heel
• antistatic
• energy absorbtion in the heel area
• protection against wetness 
• toe cap 

Safety class S3:

• like S2, but with puncture resistant midsole

Safety class S4:

• boots from rubber or synthetic material
• integrally formed or vulcanized
• 100 % watertight  
• toe cap 

Safety class S5:

• like S4, but with steel sole
